Mak is a kind and loving dog that desperately loves attention from adults. He is gentle with children but really craves that one on one adult attention I think it's a staffy thing.

He is a pure bred English Staffy who has the hyperactive nature of a Staffy that just keeps going and going and going when you let him in terms of throwing a ball or running but he is getting of age as he is 11 now so sometimes it's up to us to say "Ok mate that's enough". Then he just flops.  He does like to get out and about but must be on a lead at all times as he isn't great with other dogs.  He isn't a complete bully but if another dog had a go he certainly wouldn't back down.

He can't come with us to NZ because he doesn't like the plane. Moving him can be a bit traumatic as he gets a bit of separation anxiety and a plane trip of that length wouldn't be very kind to him. We just want whats best for him in his final years of life. Even though I talk about his final years of life he still has so much go in him. He plays still so much and gets so excited when visitors arrive he just does bog laps to show how excited he is.  So yes he is 11 but sometimes thinks he is still 5.

Mak has a sensitive stomach, he eats Kangaroo and Potato biscuits a special kind from the Vet which costs $130 and lasts roughly 2-3 months. He isn't a big eater with those so it's quite affordable. He cannot eat anything else otherwise you will have a very smelly dog with an upset stomach.  He isn't on any medications but often use essential oils on him for his tummy or his anxiousness when we leave the house but haven't needed to for a while.

We are looking for someone to have him that is home most of the day everyday. He does get separation anxiety so having that company which he is used to would be ideal.

We are looking for a forever home as soon as possible, yes we are going to NZ for 1-2 years and coming back but I feel re-homing him and then asking for him to come back would be a bit cruel. But its an option if things don't work out. The last thing I want is for him to end up in the wrong hands or in a kennel.  So keeping in contact would be great and reassuring.

He will give someone so much company, he just hangs with me in the house when I'm working, watching TV, cooking. He is in every photo and not too far from the kids.

If you know of anyone that might be interested in having a new family member join them can you share this group with them. Don't add them just share the group so that they can request to be added. I don't want people on here that aren't interested.  Thank you for helping. xx
