Light as a feather, quick as a bird...
I have been getting several inquiries about the sticks and whips I use with my horses in many of my videos. The one you see me use most often when doing groundwork has a name, and it's Mr. Snappy!
I like this stick, vs. a more common fiberglass 'training stick' and string, because it is so much lighter, quicker and softer, depending on how I use it, making it a more versatile tool for communication. Plus my wrists don't get tired when I'm out there playing or training all day!

But PLEASE NOTE, this tool has some flexibility to it, which means in a beginners hands it can accidentally deliver much more pressure or 'snap' than intended (like a kitchen towel)! Also, because it's a light and bendy stick, it's not necessarily the best tool to use with a very aggressive or pushy horse at first, depending on your skill and confidence with using space and non-verbal communication.
