Regretfully offering Bodhi up for sale.

Bodhi completely changed my opinion on thoroughbreds.

I got him in March off a friend who had not long got him from the track however he was unraced due to being too slow - not surprised what so ever.

For me he has been a very easy horse, he is more woah than go and has spent hours happily hacking on the farm on the buckle without a care.

He is very much a “what you see is what you get” kind of horse and is honest in every aspect.

While having Bodhi i have put him through the ringer. He is use to dogs (we have 12) running between his back legs and has been ridden through dense bush and bog while out pig hunting; he is completely unfazed by the dogs while out on the farm also, use to kids in all their wildness, motorbikes, loud machinery and guns (the guys target practise with their big guns one paddock over), been to the beach a few times however not with me

Bodhi has had regular bodywork and is fine throughout. He had adequate let down and was brought back into work gently, proving easy and willing from the start. He is easy to shoe and happily stands for the Farrier (currently shod all round). Does not get grass affected nor does he get hot with feed, great to hose and groom etc

Bodhi has basics established on the flat and is starting to produce beautiful work, he has great natural elevation in his hind end movement and would make an amazing show ring mount. Has started jumping at home up to 70 cms and is confident enough with a tidy backend.

Bodhi self loads onto the float and I can leave him untied with the ramp down while I load up and he will not move a muscle. He has also been thoroughly taught to respect your space and generally won’t move without instruction (he needs the odd reminder) is not pushy or in your face at all.

He really is an easy and honest horse although he will only go to an experienced home with a confident rider that I know he will excel with.

I also want to ensure that he finds the right home as although he is very straight forward he is, at the end of the day, still an off the track Thoroughbred that needs confidence and guidance through an experienced seat and hands.

Home is way more important than price so am open to any offers as price is negotiable but home is not.
